Dr Minan Yao (Aaron) – MSc, BSc
Senior TCM Practitioner | Course Director (MATCM) | Founder of TaoHeal
Dr Minan (Aaron) Yao is a Senior Hospital-Trained Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a unique career spanning over 15 years. Bridging the gap between rigorous Western medical safety and Eastern therapeutic wisdom, he differs from typical acupuncturists by possessing robust General Practice (GP) capabilities alongside expert TCM skills.
Before settling in Manchester, Dr Yao served as a frontline Medical Officer for International SOS (including deployments in Iraq, Angola, and DR Congo). This high-stakes background ensures he operates with Advanced Life Support (ALS) safety standards, providing a secure environment for every patient.
The TaoHeal Methodology
Dr Yao brings his personal clinical philosophy, TaoHeal, to his practice at AcuHealth. His approach is not just about suppressing symptoms; it is about “Architecting Health.”
By combining hospital-grade safety with traditional techniques, he specializes in treating the root causes of complex conditions:
- Spine-Related Disease: As a disciple of Prof. Wei Guikang, Dr Yao treats internal issues (digestive, gynaecological, heart palpitations) by correcting spinal misalignments.
- Complex Pain Management: Using evidence-based acupuncture to target deep nerve pathways.
- Integrative Safety: Fully certified in Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
