Multiple sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis or MS, like other neurological conditions, is an autoimmune disorder that unfortunately has no cure in Western Medicine. Common symptoms of this condition are: vision problems, balance problems and dizziness, fatigue, bladder problems and stiffness and/or spasms.

Chinese Medicine considers this condition as a damp-phlegm obstruction into the meridians (body channels where vital energy flows) on the background of disharmony of Yin Yang energy.

The damp-phlegm comes from external invasion especially the dampness and spleen energy disharmony.

ACUPUNCTURE FOR MS

The treatment aims to drain the damp, resolve the phlegm and remove the stagnation to restore the balance. Acupuncture for MS can also help with patients’ bladder problems and urge incontinence.

By stimulating the nervous system, acupuncture can trigger one’s homeostatic mechanisms which can consequently promote physical and emotional well-being.
